A participant once said that having a performance discussion was the “most excruciating hour of his year!” Not the intention of performance discussions to be sure but how they can often be perceived by both reviewer and reviewee. This one day workshop is designed to assist managers prepare and conduct effective performance discussions that build on the relationship between the manager and staff member.
Recognising levels of performance and planning development are also key aspects that happen within the performance discussion. Dealing with the high performer can be equally as challenging as dealing with the low performer and some tactcis and tools that assist the manager prepare more effectively for these discussions will be shared. The workshop also focuses on providing specific and practical feedback, both positive and constructive as well as being able to identify the specific learning needs, how to address them and how to ensure the learning is transferred back to the workplace.
